Nachtfischen (German, I hope! for 'night fishing')

The boat!

The crew feeds fish and stingrays before the trip starts - very entertaining!

This is the small stingray 2-3ft wide - I never got a good shot of the BIG white one - about 4ft wide

The black one was about 3ft wide

Sadly I didn't get any photos of Brian fishing - but i did get one of Josh!

Josh's Moray - Which never made it into the boat - the captain cut the line.

Maldives...

I'm going to take a break from posting our Normandy/Paris/Sardinia pictures from April - yes April - to post some photos from the Maldives. One of these days I promise I will finish that!

We had an amazing week of laying on the beach, hanging out with great friends, eating some AMAZING food, fishing, snorkeling, and just relaxing! As always Brian and I compete at everything - everything - and he usually wins. This may come as a shock to some people but *I* yes I caught more fish than Brian and I will never let him live that down. Ever.

I'll break this up into a few posts so the photos aren't too bad!

McArabia! The BEST sandwich EVER from McDonalds! (Our layover in Dubai one of the most amazing airports ever)

Ayesha.

Few people know that it's a dream of mine to swim with whale sharks. Or for that matter see a whale shark in it's natural habitat. Brian and I went to the Georgia Aquarium after he got out of WOC school just before he started flight school and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I could have sat and watched the sharks all day, they are so beautiful and graceful in the water! Of course I am deathly afraid of most sharks - but whale sharks don't eat people. Well ladies and gentlemen...we're off to a land far far away where I MIGHT have the chance to see and maybe even SWIM with a whale shark.

Brian is excited our house comes with a boat. I can't complain!

This is Ayesha and we're going to visit her!!!!!!!!

Can you guess where we're going?!

Day 2: Pointe Du Hoc

Pointe du Hoc is the location where 225 US Army Rangers climbed 100 ft cliffs to take what the allied forces thought was a artillery stronghold for the Germans. Little did they know that many of the guns were moved several days before D-Day.

You can read more about Pointe du Hoc HERE. Pointe du Hoc today looks exactly like it did in 1944. Craters and all. This was by far one of the most interesting parts of our Normandy trip.
