New photos

Again and again I'm disappointed in this new Olympus camera we got over Christmas. Every photo is fuzzy...ok so maybe out of 10 I get one decent one. Not a fan and Anna for sure isn't a fan of the flash. She has no problem with the flash on my Nikon (you would think it would be the other way around). But more on that later...in another blog.

Hey blog readers, mom got me a new chair!

Photo update

I've been meaning to post these photos for a long time. Sorry for the delay!

Mommy I'm tired!
Photobucket

Just kidding!
(Note, we were in the midst of trying on our summer clothes to see what fits. These are some 18-24mo shorts - which just happened to match her shirt that day, but look more like capri pants)

Since this photo, she's taken a chunk out of several clementines. She tries to eat them like an apple

Sitting on the potty. i got her a potty because she likes to visit me in the bathroom...as does Kyla...it becomes a pretty full bathroom. I figured I would just get it for her so she gets used to it being there. Instead she drags it all over the house and sits on it everywhere. In the kitchen... in the living room...

Roseola

Well it turns out Anna has/had Roseola. Her rash didn't last so long - it started this morning and was completely gone by this evening when I put her down at 7. Her fever was only really high for about 18 hours, peaking at 104.5 and then it went down to between 100.9 and 101. It's been a looong week. Lots of cuddles with mommy. She napped a lot today, but went down at 7 with no problems. Even when she's sick, she's still an awesome little person.

Tomorrow we're going to Hohenfels to pick up Brian. He gets to come home until Sunday night, which works out great, because I have pottery on Sunday, so I don't have to find a sitter for Sunday.

I was going to post a ton of photos, but Brian's computer doesn't want to agree with me right now, so maybe I can post them when he comes home tomorrow.

7.

I realized reading through some old blogs I haven't updated Anna's 'tooth number' we're up to seven and have a few more trying to come through up top. As of right now, we have 4 up top and 3 on the bottom.

Saturday.

Wednesday night Anna was up all night. She went down at 7 like usual. Then woke up at 8 and fell right back to sleep. Then woke up again at midnight, Brian went and checked on her, then 15 minutes later she was up again screaming her poor little head off. Since we weaned from our night feedings she has been amazing through the night. 11 hours every night. What a champ! I'm lazy so I brought her back to bed with me and we cuddled, but she continued to scratch her legs and tug on her diaper all night long. She also had a HOT HOT diaper when she peed. Not just warm, it was HOT! Needless to say, not much sleep for Anna and I which lead to a grumpy Anna on Thursday. Still tugging at her diaper on Thursday I made a doctors appointment for her on Friday. (No fever, but I think she might have a UTI) Our appointment on Friday was at 11. Our clinic closes at noon on Friday, so there wasn't much that could be done. They told me she didn't have a fever (which I knew), but since they were closing, there wasn't time to do lab work. I was told to take her to the krankenhaus (hospital) if she developed a fever or it seemed to get worse. Gotta love government health care! It's ok, I'd rather see the Germans anyway.

As I was sitting in the clinic waiting for our appointment, it made me super happy to think that we haven't been to do the doctor with Anna other than her well baby appointments. Thank goodness!

Brian is off to the field for two weeks to teach some infantry guys about medevac. We will miss daddy dearly ...especially since he was gone for 5 days a few weeks ago, but it could be worse, it could be two months!

I've been busy teaching pottery on Sundays and trying to keep up with a busy 1 year old...err tornado! Not much else to report really.

Thank you rodent from Pennsylvania.

It's been...well nice here for the past few days. At least for Germany nice. Some people wouldn't consider light rain with a splash of afternoon sunshine and 40* very nice, but I'll take it! Wait...who have I become? So spoiled with our AMAZING weather in Savannah and Ft. Rucker that feels (and was) sooooo long ago. Now I gladly walk my dogs in the rain, cause if I don't, well they don't get walked and that makes everyone miserable. Thanks to the person who thought to make rain covers for strollers.

Hanging out in Edelweiss while mommy sews things on daddy's uniform - an hour before the ball.

Anna had a pretty nasty 48 hour bug last week. It's been going around Post like wild fire. I don't know a single family with kids who hasn't been hit by it. It was horrible! Thankfully it was only 1 day of throwing up - and the second day was just nasty diapers. Poor Anna. Thankfully we haven't had to deal with to many of those! Whew!
